My girlfriend has need to buy a new 32" screen as her ex buggered off
with the old one.

We quite fancy the Toshiba 32Z44 (with stand) based on the
specs/price/brand loyalty but can't find one to get a butchers at in the
flesh.

Does anyone have any experience of this TV, or have any alternative
suggestions. The cheapest we've seen it is...

Kelkoo - Digital Direct = £560 (inc del)
Pricerunner - Electricals Centre = £559 (inc del)

We need a 32 inch widescreen. No DD5.1 is necessary, neither is 100hz.
Preferably 3 scarts but I know most at this price range only have 2.
It's going to be used primarily for DVD viewing and games (PS2, Gamecube
and N64).

Cheers

Seem to be some good deals on older Philips models on ebuyer at the
moment.... I'm still tempted to go for the 28" model they have without
cabinet at a snip over 200 quid!!!

They have a 32" with cabinet though as well -

Could be worth a look. Apparently these models are a few years old and not
totally "flat screen" but get good reviews off ebuyer and have won some
mag's awards as well.

Philips 32PW9308 - its superd. Have had one for 3 months now and cant
fault it. DVDs look great through my Pioneer 444 - an old fav ;-) only 2
scarts though, 100mhz flat screen. Xbox looked good on it too. No surround
sound.

Picked mine up for just under £600 but that was from sky buy so finding it
that cheap may be a prob. I think kelkoo chucks up prices around £700 but
its been a while since i looked.
