component to rgb scart??

first off this is my system
Philips 32PW9308 (TV)
Pioneer DV-565A (DVD)
Yamaha HTR-5540RDS (AV Receiver)
Yamaha 5.1 Speaker set (needs upgraded!)
using Thor Scarts for Sky and DVD at present.

Not bad for a budget set up i think...

My issue is that i have tried to source a component out connection from
theDVD to the RGB Scart in the back of the TV.
I cant find such a thing that will transfer the info from component to
RGBscart. Can anyone tell me if such a thing exists and if so where can i
get one?
Also what are the pros and cons... will it actually give me a better picture
quality and will it actually work?
Any advise or guidence what be excellent.

The Pioneer DV-565A has a NTSC Progreesive Scan option rather than
interlace which is what i want to access as i have started to buy more
region 1 dvd's also the Philips 32PW9308 reconises the NTSC DVD's and give
syou the option to use progressive scan on the TV also.... i thought that
this overall will improve the picture quality of Region 1 DVD's???
Am i wrong?
if not then are their connections out there that will achieve Component to
RGB scart so i can access the Progressive scan on the DVD?

cheers

Here's the link to a ComponentRGB SCART converter, it'll give you the
highest quality connection between your DVD player and the TV:

In a word no. Your TV's 'progressive scan' option is an internal
deinterlacing process. Unless your TV has Component-Progressive inputs you
will not be able to use the progressive scan option of your DVD player.
