Connecting Optical Devices and Toshlink to Coax Convertors

Sorry if this has been asked before.

I need to hook up several audio opitical devices (x-box, ps2, sky+) into one
optical input on my receiver (only 1 of these devices is ever used at one
time). Is there some kind of box/device (similiar to a multi scart box) that
will allow me to do that?

+ does anyone have any experience using Toshlink - Coax convertors?

thanks
bobby

Hello Bobby

It may be overkill but the Zektor HDS4 does everything you require (4
In 1 Out and Optical/Coaxial conversion) and as a bonus its also a
very high quality video switch.

See http://www.zektor.com

We have our first shipment of UK spec units arriving mid Jan and the
HDS4 will be around £260.00.

For a review with a 'Gamers' perspective see

Best regards

Joe

You could make one - the signal margin on optical is quite large, I can hold
the end of the optical lead two or three centimeters away from the socket
and it still works.

You can simply "wire or" the signals together.

So all you need is a kind of mirrored tube arrangement with one output -

or you could always get this for a snip at £39.99
