Any recommendations will be greatly appreciated. Thank you. Roo I have a Harmony 768 and am very happy with it. You connect it to your computer via a USB cable and program it on their Web site. They remember your settings so you can go back and modify them if you want. One of the nicest things about the Harmony is you can click one button to"Watch DVD" or "Watch TV," etc and it will turn on and set up every needed component. Go to www.harmonyremote.com for a test drive. Karl I second the Harmony. I have the SST-659 and it does anything I need. You program it on their site and have more options for one-button control than you can shake a stick at. Ed |

Roo If you are computer savvy at all, consider getting a cheap JP1 compatable remote and then programming it with your computer and some very easy to use free software tools. The Radioshack 15-2116( IR) and 15-2117(RF) are two good examples around $30 each. Using the tools and guidance of the guys at the jp1 forum, http://www.hifi-remote.com and http://www.hifi-remote.com/forums/, these remotes can be made as powerful as most of the other programmable remotes that cost much more. All the $60 - $150 remotes the others have suggested will do what you want. But one of these JP1 remotes will be just as powerful and extremely more verastile in how you can go about programming and upgrading it. At least go read the beginner guides. |

It's a good remote. Should be a great remote with the cable for less than $50. David |
