Remote Scheduling
I have home network and have been able to schedule from my pc. However,
when a attempt to schedule from another location, I receive a error and am told to call Tivo. Any ideas how to correct this problem. John |

Thanks, we will give a try.

I don't think that matters, 'cuz the way they have Remote Scheduling set up, it depends on the Tivo making a check to home base to see if any recordings are waiting for them there, rather than home base issuing a command to the Tivo to set up the recording. (Otherwise there would be no need for that warning about possibly not getting the show 'cuz you didn't schedule it enough in advance.) Since all connections are inititated on the Tivo end, there should be no need for DMZ. I have absolutely zero Tivo-related things set on my router, and I get everything done just fine. My questions are these: 1) has the OP actually called Tivo as directed, and what do THEY say, and 2) are they using their Internet connection on the network for regular Tivo activities all the time, and does it successfully make THOSE calls as scheduled? -- Chris Lemon http://fredsmythe.com EFNet: FredSmyth |
Answered my own question.
