Newbie question - How to record only at a certain hour with Season Pass
Hi,
I have DirecTV with a Samsung SIR-S404r receiver. I want to record first half hour of the Leno show at the 11:35pm showing. When I use the season pass it will not let me record a portion of the show. It also "picks up" a second show which shows on the same channel at 3:25am. I then have to go to the "wish" and delete out the 3:25am entries. Is there anyway to just record the 11:35pm showings? I set the "show type" to first run only but that did not seem to help. Any ideas? Thanks, Fred (to send email, get the lead out) |

I do the same thing, but just for Mondays. I want to catch the Headlines segment, and that's pretty much it. :) Mojo -- Morris Jones * Monrovia, CA http://www.whiteoaks.com |

The problem here is likely that the TV guide is given no specific information about each episode, so it can't tell whether it's a new one or a repeat. Not TiVos fault, it relies on the guide data for that feature. Your best bet is just to set up a manual recording to record each night at 11:35. Any ideas?
