Beware of $100. rebate offer from TIVO
I mailed all the forms requested and all were received by TIVO rebate
center. Now they wont honor the rebate because they say the TSN # is wrong. I called them and verbally gave them the TSN # on the phone, faxed copies of the TSN # to them etc. They still say I have not provided them with a TSN #. The TSN # is the number on the side of the TIVO box near the barcode. It is also the serial # on the TIVO itself. Has anyone had this problem? I am in the process of filing a complaint with the Attorney General. -- JohnnyD |
I had the same problem. I called them yesterday day.
The data entry people are having serious issues. I called the 800 number and gave them my tsn #. Whoever entered the information I sent hit the B instead of the V key. "JohnnyD" wrote in message ... I faxed the TSN to them twice, quoted it over the phone and mailed it. They
still can't get it right. I will never deal with this company again. I called my credit card company and had them dispute the $100.00 until I get my rebate. "Dusty" wrote in message ... Might have to call and yell at them a little. Thanks for the heads up. Matt Hoyle |
Everyone,
Just got off the phone with a very courteous customer service rep, and he was able to take my TSN and validate it right then. He said the check will be in the mail soon. Just thought I'd share the experience. (Feel so much better.) :-) Matt |

I had an issue with my most recent rebate, too. My $50 rebate from a few months back went through without a hitch, the $100 rebate from a month ago came back as missing UPC. I bought a refurb Pioneer 810H-S, and the UPC looked different than the UPCs I was used to from my other Tivos (plus as a refurb it came in a mostly plain brown box), so I figured that is what was causing confusion. I emailed the rebate support address explaining my situation and got a courteous reply the next business day that my rebate status had been changed to approved. Ken |

Just bought a Pioneer 810 from Best Buy without a box. So I told the
Best Buy Manager there was no UPC for me to send in to claim the $100 rebate. Best Buy credited my credit card $100 "On-the-Spot"! I couldn't believe it! I should have played the lottery that day! There is a GOD after all! Reese |

Reese Wait until you hook it up and discover the pixelization problem that the Pioneers have. Check www.tivocommunity.com to see how many posts there have been with respect to this problem. They have known about it since last year but continue to see faulty machines to unsuspecting rubes like me and you. Maybe you weren't so luck after all. |
