I can understand why you think I'm a troll, though: For some reason,
diehard TiVo fans seem unable to comprehend that anyone, anywhere,
under any circumstance, would ever be unhappy with the TiVo product.

You cant be serious. You were given a multitude of options which would
likely have resolved your issue to your complete satisfaction yet
instead you come into a group that contains fans of the product (go
figure with a name like alt.video.ptv.tivo) and expect any less? Do you
go into the Xbox groups and say PS2 rulez and Xflop blows and expect to
be greeted warmly?

Well, I assure you, that is indeed the case.

And you have been assured it isn't. I would bet secretly you have already
resolved the issue and are happily using your Tivo as you type yet you
aren't man/woman enough to admit you were a bit hasty in your judgment.

I will not be buying
any more TiVos or recommending their purchase to my friends and
associates, whether you can believe it or not.

I definitely fall into the category of "Tivo Fanboy".

I do however acknowledge it's not perfect, but it's the best option for me.

Troubleshooting Tivo's can be very tough on the patience factor. I
know, I almost threw mine out the window.
