Excellent. I'll be glad to be rid of this POS product. I will ship
as soon as I receive your $600. What payment method will you be
using?

If it walks like a troll and talks like a troll...

If you had bothered to google my usenet history, you would have seen
that I have a long history of posting and am not a troll.

Proves absolutely nothing. The fact that you might contribute in other
groups does not preclude you from being a troll.

Additionally, I would like to point out that before I made the above
referenced flippant retort, I was insulted by the jerk who pretended
to be interested in buying my TiVo, and I only responded in kind.

If you've been posting for as long as you claim then you probably learned
to ignore 'jerks' in the past.

I can understand why you think I'm a troll, though: For some reason,
diehard TiVo fans seem unable to comprehend that anyone, anywhere,
under any circumstance, would ever be unhappy with the TiVo product.

You cant be serious. You were given a multitude of options which would
likely have resolved your issue to your complete satisfaction yet
instead you come into a group that contains fans of the product (go
figure with a name like alt.video.ptv.tivo) and expect any less? Do you
go into the Xbox groups and say PS2 rulez and Xflop blows and expect to
be greeted warmly?

Well, I assure you, that is indeed the case.

And you have been assured it isn't. I would bet secretly you have already
resolved the issue and are happily using your Tivo as you type yet you
aren't man/woman enough to admit you were a bit hasty in your judgment.

I will not be buying
any more TiVos or recommending their purchase to my friends and
associates, whether you can believe it or not.

Your loss. When you find a better product be sure and let us all know.

I definitely fall into the category of "Tivo Fanboy".

I do however acknowledge it's not perfect, but it's the best option for me.

E.L.

I can see why he thinks you might be a troll. I tried to email a
serious offer to you for your Tivo. However, you have an unknown
address according to earthlink.net No alternate email addresses in
any posts.

I did google your usenet history - again turning up the bad
earthlink.net address. You do have legitimate posting history.

I also noticed that in March you were talking about possibly buying "6
or 7" TiVos and sometime around April 30th your upgraded you Series 2
TiVo with another disk. It looks like earlier this year you were a
TiVo fan, sorry your opinion of the product soured.

If you are serious about selling the unit, email to:
pstryjew at att dot net

BTW a quick google groups check on my posts (from various hosts -pre
ISP days) shows usenet postings from Feb,1987 (ARPANET days!).

Troubleshooting Tivo's can be very tough on the patience factor. I
know, I almost threw mine out the window.
