I lose it on both of mine everytime the power goes out. I bought a UPS to stop that (and other stuff that goes along with power outages) from happening, works great and it was less then $40 at Frys. ok so ours might be not on. how do you set it?
thx "RA" wrote in message ... Tivo's 30 Second Skip Easter Egg has stopped working. Anyone having this problem. This is done for skipping 30 sec block by - Grab your TiVo remote. Bring up any recorded program. (You have to be watching a recorded program rather than "Live TV" in order to enable the feature.) On your TiVo remote, key in the following sequence: SELECT PLAY SELECT 30 SELECT If you've successfully entered the code, you should hear three "bings" in succession to inform you that you've successfully enabled the 30 second skip. Note that any time your TiVo is rebooted (such as after a power outage or a software update) you'll have to re-enable this feature. Please share if you have any backdoors ? TIA |

The answer is the same though: The OP in this thread has the correct method for turning on the 30-second skip. If it doesn't work for you, you're either doing it wrong or you have one of the few models that doesn't offer it. (I shouldn't have to ask what type of TiVo you have... it's incumbent upon the person asking for help to give enough information to give a chance at solving the problem.) -- Lenroc |
