Default Gateway
 

I have also posted this to the tivocommunity website;

Apologies if this doing that is incorrect

I am having problems setting the default gateway.

I can enter /sbin/route.tivo add default gw 192.168.1.1

This then gets working. However when it reboots the setting is lost.

I have edited rc.sysinit.author and placed an entry in there no joy.

I tried mouting the rw before the entry and resetting it back to ro
afterwards still no joy.

There are no entries in the route fiile.

I cant speak for Tivo but under linux:

cat /etc/sysconfig/network
HOSTNAME=wb.home.invalid
NETWORKING=yes
GATEWAY=192.168.1.1 =============
GATEWAYDEV=eth0
NETWORKING_IPV6=no

Run /sbin/nic_config_tivo if you have it.
