Restarting The FTP daemon
Hi
I have a Tivo which is networked. It will not go out onto the internet Looking in the /etc/resolv.conf the DNS servers are incorrect. When I try to edit the file it is read only. It will not allow me to change the file permission. I have now shafted the FTP server. Please can someone assist with how to restart the FTP server and how to alter the DNS servers Cheers Geofff |

Try "mount -o remount,rw /" Then after you make the changes (you don't need to change permissions, only make the fs rw), set it back to ro: "mount -o remout,ro /" (Don't type the quotes, obviously) -- Lenroc |
Many thanks I try that
