Copy to PC via USB??
 

Has anyone copied from the TiVo2 system via the USB port directly to a PC?
Does it show up as a drive similar to how a digital camera's smartcard acts
a hard drive when the camera is connected to a PC?

Can't be done without hacking the TiVo. Are you comfortable in replacing
critical parts of the OS, like the kernel?

No, it looks like an FTP server.
