Rating Limit

I tried to purchase a PPV event online, English playoffs, Saturday, 7am,
only to be told the program exceeds rating limits set.
Neither of of my receivers including my DVR have any parental controls
switched on. Also, I cannot purchase the event through the guide because it
claims pricing for the event is not available even though it listed on the
guide. What the hell!!
I'll be damned if I'll purchase it over the phone and pay extra charges.
Anyone else experienced crap like this?

You do have your receiver attached to the phone line?

I did try to buy online. That's where the DirecTV website claims it exceeds
rating limits.

Why don't you just call DirecTV for support and see what they say.

There is a setting as to the maximum pay-per-view that can be ordered
via the remote. Maybe its at a default $10 ?

Mark May 12th 04 07:44 PM

Checked that. Not the problem. It appears DirecTV fixed it. They had
ratings set incorrectly at their end.
NR instead of X or something along those lines. Have now purchased the PPV
event. Super.
