along the JavaHMO lines

Ok, what's done is done, do you know anything about JavaHMO or just
bitching and wasting bandwidth like I did with the attachment? TM "MegaZone" wrote in message ... "TM" shaped the electrons to say: the background. FWIW, a 12 line text post (MZ's) takes up a lot less bandwidth than whatever you posted. I can't even see it, since my server filters binary posts out of non-binary groups (along with the other spam...). If you actually want help, try asking again (and maybe try learning some manners too...). -- Lenroc |
I just love all the people complaining about HOW help is asked for.
If you want ot help out - do it - if you dont - then dont - why BITCH AND MOAN? Give an answer or don't asshole! "Lenroc" wrote in message otmail.com... If you want ot help out - do it - if you dont - then dont - why BITCH AND MOAN? Well: 1. I'm not going to download his damn PDF from USENet just to look at his problem. If he throws it up at a URL I may. I don't know if I can help or not - I know a little about JavaHMO but he hid his issue in a binary post. It is like people who insist on emailing sreenshots of windows error messages instead of the two lines of text. 2. I also intended, in part, to make it clear to someone who might stumble across the post and think that meant binary posts were cool that it isn't the case. When asking for help from a group of strangers it helps if you don't make the people you'd like help from jump through hoops to do so. I think we're a fairly helpful lot in general. There are a lot of groups where the common response to basic questions is to blast the poster. -MZ, RHCE #806199299900541, ex-CISSP #3762 -- URL:mailto:megazoneatmegazone.org Gweep, Discordian, Author, Engineer, me. hehe - PLONK indeed... I never plonked *you* - I plonked the forged posts you made in my name. ;-) Actually I had news dump them all to a file so I have a record of the forgeries, then mark them as junked so I didn't bother reading them while in news. -MZ, RHCE #806199299900541, ex-CISSP #3762 -- URL:mailto:megazoneatmegazone.org Gweep, Discordian, Author, Engineer, me. however, when you are hooked directly to a DS3 line, you really dont have
much worry about bandwidth. No thanks to anyone in the NG, I resolved my apache/php conflict on my own without too much lingering animosity. It's just annoying when an immature, overgrown certhead wants to play netcop.(MZ) And pot calling the kettle black Lenroc. Nuff said. TM "Lenroc" wrote in message otmail.com... I suppose you only want help from people with similar connection speeds? However, the end user's bandwidth isn't the only consideration. You also have to consider retention among newsservers. Text-only groups often have lower capacity than binary groups, and sending a binary to a text-group can expire useful posts more quickly than they would otherwise expire. No thanks to anyone in the NG, I resolved my apache/php conflict on my own without too much lingering animosity. Well, isn't that special? So you didn't even look for an answer before you posted here... -- Lenroc |
