[email protected]#$%^&* network games with overlap
what's up with this nonsense? NBC now saying a program starts at 9:59 for
61 mins (which it doesn't, of course). then it conflicts with the 9-10 show and cancels the whole thing. so if the networks play this game, when is tivo gonna give me the option to just use the recording priority to deal with the overlap? say, if they're within 5mins (or more, why not?), miss the last minute of the 9-10 (or vice versa). all i'd miss is commercials, opening theme songs, and scenes from next week, rather than missing the ENTIRE show. it's always something... |

Also- What they need to build into Tivo is an option to let you automatically pad ALL shows you record (season pass, alone, etc.) with at least 5 minutes on either end. We just had this happen with last Sunday's "Sex and the City" Cut off right at the (dare I say it) climax. Luckily, another showing happened to be on at the same time we were watching, with only a 10 minute lag. -- To reply by email, replace the word "space" with "renault" |

It sucks, but the guide is right. Both Law & Order (Wed) and Special Victims Unit (Tue) were listed at 2159 (9:59pm) this week but both actually started at 2200 (10pm). The Apprentice was scheduled to start @ 7:29 but didnt start till 7:32 so it created a conflict for NO reason. It is rather suspicious and makes me think they are up to no good, but then why would NBC be paying for that 'Tivomatic' Icon and then thwart tivo users? -- David |

True, but it conflicted with a show that was going to END at 7:30 which should have been fine....but Noooooooo. -- David |
