To idTV or not idTV...? by [email protected]
Hi all, I'm trying to choose a new TV for my parents. It's got to be a 28" flat w/s set. They are also sorting out new a new aerial, and want to make use of Freeview. They will be keeping their current DVD player and VCR for the time being. Oh, and a 50 Hz set is fine, as is NICAM stereo (I...

Hi, I've bought an MSI MEGA 651 home entertainment PC and I'm investigating the best way to view digital TV without the need for any further external boxes. I want to fit an ATI all-in-wonder TV card to take care of TV viewing/recording and graphics power for games. The remote control will allow me...

Connecting two aerials by tricia
Hi I have a loft aerial and a roof aerial, neither on its own gives a perfect picture. Can I connect them both together and what is the best way. The loft aerial was added to give a picture on a tv in a bedroom. They were satisfactory for analogue. Thanks Tricia

Loss of BBC - Mux 1 by Frank Mechan
I have a Nokia Mediamaster 9850T. I know it gets abuse but, until now, I have had rock solid pictures and it has two scarts and a digital output for my amp and so I have been holding out until a decent PVR was available. However last Thursday while watching the Brunel programme I started to get...

Pace Box switching itself off by Derek Abernethy
Hi I just bought a new pace box the other day but it is switching itself off every 30 min or so. Is this a common problem , a setting that needs to be altered or is the box just buggered. I'm also suprised at the poor selection of channels that the box is picking up, as with a signal strength of...

DTT audio distortion revisited. SAMPLES provided by Agamemnon
Today, after thinking about the Proms debacle on Saturday, I decided to take another look at the samples I made last week concerning the audio distortion occurring on DVB audio. The following are the artefacts observed from a 44.1 kHz sample of the BBC 6 O'clock news (which I did not analyse...

Another question about Grundig GDT1500 box by Tom Cumming
Many thanks for the answers to my previous question. Next (and hopefully last) question: When I exit the data/text service for any BBC channel (by pressing red) there is a pause of about one second where the picture and sound both cut out, which is a bit annoying. This does not happen on non-BBC...

Nebula software - 3.02 build 9 by Steve
I have read nothing about this, perhaps being new to this people don't autoupdate, but is anyone else finding this the worst build so far? Memory leaks, GPFs (repeatable when viewing 'programmes at a glance') and just general slowness. How can I download an earlier build, 3.01 missed recordings...
