Updating of EPG by
AJM
Can it be that a nil response so far to my query posted under this subject
heading on 10/2/07 is because I sought an informed opinion? If so, I am
quite amenable to a speculative opinion - or indeed any opinion.

Aspect switching by
Paul D.Smith
OK, got my new 16:9 TV and I've been playing with the aspect settings and,
surprise-surprise, none of them do exactly what I want. Anyway, this got me
wondering how the magic "aspect ratio switching" works? Does it really?
Problems I can think of already are...
- How does analogue signal it? ...

Sky TV on computer by
Doug Paulley
I don't have a telly, and don't really have anywhere to put one.
Currently I watch Freeview and TopupTV through my computer.
I am thinking of moving to Sky. Do I understand that it isn't really
possible to get most channels directly on my computer due to Sky's
closely-guarded CAM system?
With...

I had my nap tonight and I drempt that I went to a house in response to a

Receiving signals from 2 transmitters by
Ben Lidgey
We live in Cardiff. When we search for Freeview channels on our Bush
STB, it picks up all the channels from the Wenvoe transmitter then
picks some from Mendips too, overwriting the BBC Wales ones with BBC
West channels.
I think the aerial is pointing to Wenvoe. Is there any way to restrict
the...

Most BBC Freeview channels have disappeared.
BBC4 is there but BBC1, 2, 3, and News are gone - all other channels are
OK.

PVR with DVD and USB / LAN by
Spike
Hi,
A friend of mine is looking for a PVR (with or without freeview) that
has an inbuilt DVD recorder, and the ability to transfer recordings to
a PC via usb or LAN.
Any suggestions? The Humax 9200T looked good, but it really needs the
DVD in it as well.
Thanks

HD on the BBC by
Bobby
Hi
I'm new to HDTV. About a month ago I bought a Samsung LE32R73BD TV and
then got myself a TV Drive from Telewest. I'm pleased with the TV
Drive, though I don't get much in the way of HDTV at the moment.
However, when I have watched a program in HD, I've found it a bit hit
and miss. What I mean...
