Old TVRO Show by [email protected]
Hi Folks, Back in the 1990's there was a satellite radio show, internet based, hosted by a guy who's name I can't remember, that he originated from the Turks and Caicos Islands. Does anyone remember the name of the guy, or the show? Thank in advance, Jeff

BUD Mesh size - How small must the mesh be to receive KU? by Jim[_12_]
My BUD works great on C-band, but even though I installed the latest KU LNB I have essentially unable to receive KU band signals on it. I have in the past received some KU analog signals, but they were extremely weak, right at the noise threshold. My dish is 10 ft., Analog receiver is Uniden...

No C-SPAN at midday by [email protected]
Is it still solar transit time? Or what's the deal with no signal? I wanted to watch Hillary Clinton get griddled today, so I turned on the satellite receiver for the first time in a long time. Nothing on "C-3" I thought maybe they had pulled the plug, but Lyngsat said they were still there, on...

Where is Everybody in this NG? by Free Man
I am upset when there is no one posting a single news in the TVRO category. Charlie Ergen is to blame for destruction of the TVRO Industry! He must be stopped or the time will come when there will be no more BUD's to enjoy, all due to Charlie Ergen. Come on, let's get on the ball and post new TVRO...

C-Span by spamtrap1888
Hating the analysts on the PBS coverage of the DNC, I fired up the Zenith and tuned in C-Span last night. The picture was excellent. But then this afternoon, I couldn't get any picture at all. Only when I tried after 7pm was there a picture. Is this the solar transit again?

Dish Size for NASA Select by Chuck Forsberg
I am currently enjoying NASA Select in hi def using a mesh dish. The reception is fine but the signal margin is unknown. How small a dish can be used to get NASA near Seattle? Strong signals on nearby satellites may be a factor. Experiences anyone???
