Freeview query by tinytots
I know this might be quite a dumb question to ask but I'm a digital virgin and have a couple of questions that someone might help me with. I've just purchased a digi box from Tesco (daewoo) and installed it. I haven't got an outside or loft ariel, only a indoor but have managed to pick up freeview....

Nebula Noob....what am I missing? by Paul Duffy
Hi All I have a Nebula PCI which is installed and working in a M10000 setup. I have two questions.... 1. How do I get Digiguide to schedule the recordings? I don't want to have to install MyHTPC if I can avoid it but am quite happy using DVRec. At the moment using DVRec it 'appears' to record...

Any alternative PVR to Pace Twin? by Dogbert Dilbert
Dear All, I really like the idea of the PVR, but the bulk of opinion here suggests that the Pace Twin/Puma hasn't really nailed it (ie. software/hardware glitches). I don't want to subscribe to Sky+ or use anything that requires a permanent connection to a telephone line. Are there any other PVRs...

HD-DVD when? by Ben
It crops up from time to time on different groups, but I have yet to hear a considered or informed opinion about when HD-DVD is likely to arrive. How long do people think - 2 years? 5 years? What about HDTV in the UK (I'm talking Sky or Freeview here, not specialist sports channels on obscure...

channel 66 by Pendragon
Hi, I have recently installed a Goodmans FV unit with an 18 element antenna. The result on the day and upto last weekend has been good. Since the high winds however the channels broadcast on Ch66 (ITV etc) have been breaking up badly. The signal strength indicator on the good channels is stable...

Outdoor aerial by Ian
Hello people, We've got an outdoor aerial which has been there for at least 20 years. Up until a few weeks ago it was fine for watching freeview on Sony IDTV and also piped into an old ONDigital box. Since a gust of wind knocked it out of its bracket, we reattached it but we can't get about half...

Can't record Channel 5 when STB is on by Lasitha
Hi, I've just got a Pioneer Freeview STB and I've noticed that if I try to record Channel 5 while the STB is on, I don't get anything. If I switch off the STB, everything is fine. Also I can record Channel 5 via the STB (this means I have to be watching Channel 5 to be able to record it). Any...

poor reception with tvlink by Jim
I recently installed the tvlink remote eyes in my house with the t140 signal booster to send the signal around the house. The only thing is that the reception is very bad on all the stations. If I disconnect the tv aerial from the digi box the reception is fine. I tried a few different attenuators,...

Sony Service Menu for iDTV by Damian
Does anyone know of the Service menu access code for the Sony KD32DX100 iDTV please? The conventional wisdom from some of the web sites I've visited is that to access the Sony Service menu you do do the following: (Courtsey http://www.kv32tweak.freeuk.com/) However, I've tried both on my...

ITV Interactive by Archibold Pumper
I wonder if the new ITV plc have any plans to run any interactive stuff on freeview, now they have got the merger out of the way? I understand that there were plans some months ago but it never happened. It seems strange that the teletext service on freeview isn't connected with ITV as it used to...
