Hauppauge PVR250 by Lain
Hi, Can anyone tell me if the Hauppauge PVR250 TV card outputs audio via the PCI bus or through a cable from back to soundcard line-in? Thanks.

Which is the best Video Card to do TV-Out to a widescreen TV. by Fik
I've had enough of forever having to spend big money on TV/Audio/Video equipment. Rather than go for an expensive DVDR/HDD recorder, I'm looking at building a dedicated PC to live under the TV to handle all my TV watching, recording, DVD and audio needs. I've found what looks like the best tuner...

EPIA M10000 with Nebula DigiTV by Mark
I'd be interested to know this as well as I plan to buy a Nebula for my M10000. I wasn't aware that it was slow at MPEG2 decoding at the moment, though :/ Do you find that your M10000 works well as a PVR come HTPC. Is DVD playback ok? Is TV-Out picture any good? Any thoughts would be great.

Crap Channels by John
Why is the channel selection on Freeview crap ? Does anyone actually watch , Bid-up , Sky sport news , Travel shop , FTN , etc etc ? Is the fact that we have such dire and repetitive (i.e . 2 pop music , 2 travel , 2 news 2 shop ) channels mean that SKY has sewn up all the reasonable alternatives...

Can I get freeview by Dave
I would like to be able to receive freeview and have done some background research. First off the postcode checker says "not available" however if I go to: http://www.wolfbane.com/cgi-bin/tvd.exe?DX=L&OS=TQ839875 It shows several transmitters close by. The closest is Bluebell Hill which according...

Help! No BBCi with subtitles on? by Dr John Smith
Don't know if this is a bug in the Thomson software but I cannot get my grandparent's FreeView Thomson Freeview box running on software version 2.3 to 'Press Red' or 'Text' when on BBC channels if the Subtitles are switched on. Although I can get to the text options using channel 51, you cannot...

Reception prediction? by v155
Hello, Ages ago I saw a program that could be used to show possible recetion problems. It run in DOS! I put the OS reference of the transmitter, height of the aerial (109ft)and power(56watts), then the height of my aerial (35ft) and my OS reference. The program would show the local terrain as a...

Carlton Granada Link up. by R. Mark Clayton
The Govt. has agreed this merger, with some unique conditions (adjudicator!). I suspect that rather like $ky in 1997 (when the Sun changed sides and $ky's dominance in Sat TV was allowed to carry on), the new company (Granton or Carlada?) will suddenly start running obsequious coverage of ...

Poxy dogs by Saabtech
I see that discovery home and leasure have an even more annoying dog that flashes to grab your attention to extoll the virtues of the next program and it continues through the entire program you are watching. Until they cease this extremely irritating addition they can shove the programs, I will...

DVD recorders by Ben
Is there a DVD recorder with a built in freeview receiver that can record the raw mpeg stream for a channel onto a DVD without mucking about with it, or do you have to get a freeview PCI card for that?

Don't get mad! by Fludge
I know people are sick of me posting here, and I'd just got all set to buy my high gain aerial and everything, when I discovered that I could get perfect reception upstairs, on a little set top aerial, but not downstairs on my main aerial, nor downstairs on the little set top aerial. As my...

How much is sky+ ? by Dave Walker
