Bulging Lion Battery - Tesco Hudl 2 by Adrian Caspersz
Just a heads up, A few days ago my Tesco Hudl 2 battery decided to expand it's waistline and pushed the LCD screen outside the confines of the case. I've now taken it to bits and am awaiting an eBay 'new-old stock' battery to fit in replacement. In my view these things may go a bit mental...

Soundbar with headphone socket? by Gordon Freeman[_2_]
Does anyone know of an inexpensive TV sound bar with a headphone socket? The reason I ask is I have a TV with broken headphone socket, when you unplug the headphones the built-in speakers don't reconnect so it is permanently in headphone mode. Two TV repair guys have looked at it and said due...

Humax PVR fault? by Mark[_12_]
We have a Humax 9300T PVR for recording and watching Freeview TV channels (our TV is very old and does not support Freeview). Frequently the PVR displays the message "channel scrambled or unavailable" on many channels including ITV & C4, for example. It always seems to work with BBC1/2/4...

text on freeview by Brian Gaff
OK does anyone know what the nature of text is on freeview? Is it like html web pages, or is it just a graphical representation of text? I ask as in discussion with some people at various tv makers I am being told that nobody can make it accessible by speaking the text. The program guide and...

Please wait... by Jeff Layman[_2_]
Is this a Panasonic or BBC problem? A week or so ago there was a thread here ("Red button problem") about endless waiting for Text to appear on BBC, with the words "Please wait..." appearing on the screen. That problem seemed to resolve itself after a few days. Today it started again, and it's...

Haunted telly by Mr Pounder Esquire
Blaupunkt 43/1370-WB-11B-FEGU less than 3 years old. Okay, it was cheap. No matter what settings I try on the Time settings it keeps turning on in the evenings. Usually at 9pm, now it seems to be liking 7pm. The Time settings are all turned to Off. I have RTFM which is useless. It's no big deal...

Strobing by Scott[_4_]
I was reading that Laura Tobin had to change her dress because of 'strobing'. I though this was only an analogue problem and would not affect digital. Does it affect HD also? Why can't the software be programmed to edit out effects such as this?

I was just musing the last thread, one would think they might have had a countdown timer on it so if it stopped you would know it was busted. I get this kind of thing on computers. Processing your data, please wait. I often wonder about the defreagmentation systems that seem to take off like...

Green screen on Humax PVR by Another John
Stand by for naivete and ignorance .. but here's the place I need to ask: Since yesterday I've had a problem with our Humax PVR - an HDR-Fox T2 (mid-2013). Our TV is a Sony KDL 37EX524 (late 2011). The first time this happened was when switching to the PVR (over the HDMI connection): a...

NEW THREAD: Update to AT800 filter thread. by Stephen[_10_]
I've started a new thread as the old thread had gone seriously off topic about Historical PAL TV Systems! Last night I saw noise bands on chs 62, 64 and 66 which show my analogue CCTV cameras. These noise bands *always appear at night* and they pulse on and off as several 1 inch wide noise...
