Vizio TruVolume working backwards!!?? by
[email protected]
I have a Vizio with TruVolume
Its a feature designed to "maintain a comfortable
listening level when a commercial on or changing
channels"
However, when I have it set to ON, the volume is ALL
over the place! Even varying up/down within same show!
Bought the TV at Costco so no problem taking...

My 2012 Toshiba only scans for analog by
Rich Gallagher
TV was fine until I removed the cables and reattached. When turned back on no channels found. I've tried to scan again, no luck. I reset to factory settings. Same issue.
Under Installation - Channel Options it shows all the channels as Analog.
Is that my issue and is there a way to change those...

Time Warner Cable ( Spectrum ) charging now TCM by
Novel8
We were all set to watch an old movie on TCM which I have been watching sparingly for the past 12 years as a subscriber that included TCM free. On the screen it advise us to call a phone number. I told my wife, I bet they are going to charge us now to pay extra in order to watch that channel....

Two TV's on one hard drive? by
[email protected]
I don't even know if this group is still alive, but I'll try my question.
I have a Western Digital 4Tb external hard drive with several hundred movies
I've ripped onto it, hooked up by USB to the TV in my living room. We also have
a newer TV with USB inputs in the bedroom. I'm wondering if I could...

LG LST-3410-A DVR reset code by
Remysun
Trying to get the DVR to turn on for recordings from the powered down
mode.
When I first got the DVR, it wouldn't record off the guide so I called
and got a reset code, and that seemed to do the trick.
Wouldn't you know, it waited four years for me to misplace that code?
So, I'm looking online,...

Online video by
Lloyd Parsons
I've been researching online video to bring it to my TV at home. I
subscribe to Netflix, so that is the first thing I looked at. From my
computer, on a 3Mb DSL service, the quality is all over the place. Some
very good, others suck badly, but what all of it seems to have is
stop-motion often...

Strange echoes by
[email protected]
I watch TV at night using headphones so as not to bother my wife trying to
sleep. I've noticed lately that on some shows, most notably M*A*S*H, but on a
few others, lines of dialog are echoed faintly in the background with about a
half second or second delay. Any idea what this phenomenon is?...

DVR help ? by
[email protected]
I recently got a CCTV security camera with a DVR.
It came with no manual, only a CD.
The instructions have many typographical errors.
The package says you can see your cameras from a smart phone.
The instructions were clear as mud.

1. Is there a reboot key sequence to avoid having to unplug?
2. Is there a key sequence to bring up diagnostic screens?

Disney to sell movies on MicroSD cards by
UCLAN
Forget DVDs, forget Blu-Ray. Disney and Panasonic see the future and that
future is movies on flash cards. That’s right, those same tiny memory cards
that you buy for your digital camera/MP3 player will soon be available with
films pre-loaded on.
Disney and Panasonic are starting things off by...

OT Question by

But I know there's a lot of brain power here. At least I hope so. I mean, I hope
this group isn't dead too. I haven't seen any new posts here in quite a while.
Okay, so last year, I built a new computer. I put in two Samsung 500Gb solid
state drives which are drives C and D.
I also installed a...

updating Flash player in Panasonic web browser by
semperlinux
Hi Forum,
I've just bought a Panasonic 42" Plasma - main reason was to watch Internet TV with the built-in web browser.
Model no is TX-P42ST50B
And now the fine print kicks in - "not all functions may be possible with the web browser".
To be more exact, it's not possible to update the Flash...

Anyone have any knowledge of the science of Bluray discs?
I've been ripping a bunch of movies onto a hard drive which I'm hooking up to my
HDTV (see, it marginally has something to do with HDTV)
A lot of my movies are Bluray. The software I'm using opens up the disc and
lists the "title" of all...

Data transfer to HDTV USB port by

I'm finishing up a project I started back in June, ripping close to 500 DVD's to
a 4Tb HD which I'm hooking up to my TV by USB port. During this project, I've
had what I consider very slow speeds when transferring the .mp4 files I created
from my PC to the external drive I'm using The cable I'm...

Can someone tell me if there's a newsgroup for Windows 8 anymore? I can't seem

Western Digital external hard drives plugged in to what should...
