Copy From Sky+ by
Nigel
I've just received Sky+ and so far am very impressed.
I notice that when a program is recorded, Sky+ includes an extra 5 mins
(approx) at the start and end (presumably to ensure that the whole program
is captured).
There is a copy function to copy to a recordable device (Video, DVD etc).
This is...

Digibox without a minidish by
Nick Wilyman
I have just moved & cancelled my Sky subscription but did not take my
minidish with me. Can I use my Pace digibox without the dish, for
example to pick up freeview channels through a normal aerial?

Closing credits on 'A Beautiful Mind' by
Roger Wilmut
I watched 'A Beautiful Mind' live on Sky Movies Premier last night (Sat
20th 2000): the closing credits had not only a voiceover but the credits
were folded to half the screen and a noisy trailer put on the right
half. It's the first time I've seen as Sky Movies channel do this and
it's a worrying...

Praise for Sky by
Mike Lane
I decided to sell my trusted TIVO now that Sky + sub is free (sold it after
12 minutes on EBay). Rang Sky on Monday and quoted the £1 deal for Sky + and
was told that it would be fitted today Thursday. The engineer rang yesterday
evening to confirm that he would be here inbetween 9.00 am and 11.00...

Blainey just swapped :-)) by
The Wizard
Glad I was *watching in the background* again :-)
Looks like the thug that threw the paint bomb was a cover-up so they could
swap body-doubles under cover of darkness.
Off to an all night cafe for a good nosh-up no doubt ;-)

Panasonic TU-DSB31 fault - reboots after 30 secs by
Glenn Richards
Just got one of these off a mate for a fiver. Last time I saw it the
unit was working fine, however it had been left unplugged for several
months. He's since had the dish taken down (lives in a grade 2 listed
building and got ordered by the local council to remove it) so we were
unable to test it...
